BACP Therapy Websites

Therapy Webs are frequently approached to build BACP Therapy Websites for psychotherapists who are members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

We were invited to make a presentation to members of BACP at a business development seminar held in Portsmouth in October 2015 to help newly qualified therapists learn how to work with WordPress responsive websites, and although we were unable to carry-out the presentation for the BACP, it did highlight one of problems faced by people starting up as psychotherapists today, that of managing their on-line business media effectively.

Up until fairly recently the BACP therapy websites were provided in-house, but this service now appears to have been withdrawn meaning that therapists are now going to have to source their new BACP therapy websites from external suppliers.

Many BACP Therapy Websites are Non-Responsive

From an analysis of many of the websites that are linked-to from the BACP links pages, it would appear that a high proportion of the BACP therapy websites we could find have been built on an old, non-responsive static platform, although this is not by any means ALL of the sites we could find.

However, in those cases where those sites have been built using the older technology, this means that people searching for BACP members websites using mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets will frequently encounter sites that don’t fit their screens properly.

Data shows that mobile users tend to leave these non-responsive websites after just a few seconds as they are simply too difficult to navigate.

For many therapists this will have had a direct negative impact on the volume of work that they will have received via their websites.
